Veteran Status (unlocking The M1 Garand)

I've been trying to add my other BF games to my BFBC2 account for a few weeks now with no luck (I have BFHeroes and Battlefield 2, used to own near enough all of them but not sure where they are now)

So I finally decided to give EA's Live Assistance a try: <a href="http://support.ea.com/chat" target="_blank">http://support.ea.com/chat</a>

Had a nice chat with a chap called Austin who managed to get me Veteran status and unlock the M1, not only did he add the games I said I had, he also added BF1942, BF1943 and BF2142 (which I have owned in the past anyway) so I now have a Veteran status of 5!

So yeah, if you've been trying and having no luck, I recommend the link above, seems like a pretty sweet gun too!

Been having the same problems myself and gave up. Tried the link and it's sorted (so i'm told). Cheers Legthigh, off to check.

EDIT: Ok it's unlocked now and veteran status of 4

What's the advantage of having the veteran status?

I tried to link loads too, but no joy. I may just try that link, thanks Legster.

It unlocks the M1 Garand which you can use with any kit.

One of the best guns in the game IMO.

Then again it might just be the sound track that goes with it...

Starting to get used to it, med-long range its great, up close it's not so great.

I love the sound too, always have in other WW2 shooters, though the sound in BFBC2 is brilliant anyway.
