Since I am getting one of the HP servers that madman posted earlier, for uni stuff. I was wondering what was the best Server OS to go for, I am currently D/L'ing Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and Standard - DVD From MSDN and Debian and OpenSuSE.

If anyone could give alternatives I would be very greatful.

As Trig says, what's your plans for it?

If you stick some more storage in it, or at least a faster drive, you can find on the net a guide to installing ESXi, that way you can install multiple OS's
