Interesting little site here, said to be an independent ISP resource. Loads of info there, but for thread relevance check out the left column under 'Availability' and move on through there.

I have been contemplating moving from NTL to somewhere like Eclipse or Pipex, but although they even told me I could get *up to* 8Mbps in reality I'd be fortunate if I got just over 2Mbps... I wouldn't have known this without investigating matters on this webby and then challenging them.

Same goes for other ADSL services because of not only the distance from the exchange, but also the type of exchange... use them only if you have to, otherwise go cable.

Sticking with NTL then... unless someone knows otherwise? :unsure:
Just be a nutter... life becomes much more exciting, and people won't expect anything more of you...
