Pc To Tv

Ok my plans to build a small form media centre are having to go on hold, however my main rig lives in same room as TV. Whats my cheapest way to play films etc through my TV from my PC?

Current rig is

Athlon 64 3200
BFG 7800 GT PCI e <a href="http://www.bfgtech.com/7800GT_256_PCIX.html" target="_blank">http://www.bfgtech.com/7800GT_256_PCIX.html</a>
1 gig ram
Abit KN8 mobo

Hi dak, do you have a conventional tv or a lcdtv with hdmi? I have a dvitohdmi cable to deal with the cabling. I used to use svhs cable when i didnt have dvi, it worked fine on my old 28" widescreen phirrips tv. Problem is svhs=picture only so you will need to run cables for sound too.

Composite/s-video out plugged into one of those scart adaptor things is the only real way to connect to a standard tv.

Looks rubbish for browsing the net etc, but does the job for video.
