Nope, but there are several programs and plugins available, i think Nero can do it, there's a program called Dr. Divx that people say is good.

Probably have more info at <a href="http://www.thegreenbutton.com" target="_blank">www.thegreenbutton.com</a>

TGB forums are excellent! browse through the 3rd party apps section, loads of extra little programs for MCE

Never got a screensaver that looked good and worked properly with MCE, seemed to be either or.

Bit of a naff idea but thought it would be nice when i didn't want tv or music on, my tv sort of dominates my room and if it's turned off it's like you dont know where to look. Very odd.
Bought a real fish tank instead :D

Let's see some pics of your setups then guys! :)

Well I've got my remote but I'll be damned if I can get it to work. There seems to be a fair few pointers to an MS update (kb912024) that wants me to validate however I can't get to it :(

Does this mean I've got to bite the bullet and go official?

I've got all mine ready now, new media center looks good!
Still no red button, but you can phone up your pc and have it schedule recordings for you.
Shall be installing it on my media pc next week :)

Having a bast nightmare now. It would appear that I've no DVD codec that is compatible with MCE now :( All divx etc play fine but DVD's dont give any sound :( Beginning to really pee me off now! The only suggestion I've found is to purchase a DVD codec :o

Was all working fine before I reinstalled and I've reinstalled allt he same progs, divx player, WMP11 etc.

Also it ouwld appear I'm not getting all the freeview channels I used to pick up and again I've no changed the aerial or the leads I used last time. I think it might be time to get a man in to put up a new loft aerial :(

I might well buy a legit copy Vista next week if I cant get this sorted.

See my post in privvy forum re: vista.

As for DVD codec, you can install any main dvd software to get over this, i have windvd 6 i think , although it warns you it wont work, but it does. There's a program (i forget it's name) that lets you switch between codecs, i'll have a look when i get home.

You can also get the trial version of the nvidia dvd codec which allows you to mess with it for 30 days, then after that you have to buy it. But it still carries on working.

I too had to bite the bullit and get a guy in to sort the aerial, all he changed was the leads.
Seriously, f-connectors on sky digital cable. That's all i have, it's 100x better than the £10 gold plated cable i had before, cost half that.

Well I tried a channel search on an aerial that has full signal reception and it still only got around 60 channels. I was just about to give up when I returned it to the original aerial and wiped all of the channels and did one final search and lo and behold I've got the lot back! Same cables, same MCE channel search! Strange stuff!

Just got to get the dvd codec now and I'm sorted :D :D
