Tesco Value DVD Player

Just got myself on of the above players fro £17.50 got it home to find out it only plays region 2 discs.
A quick search on the net and do this:

Press eject (on remote).
Press Setup (so menus appear).
Press the Next button (as in, the next track button, not 'right') four times.
The current region appears at the top right (should be '2').
Press the left arrow until it says 255 (this means 'all regions')
Press Setup again to store. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Hurrah, it'll now play Region 1 DVDs too.

A multi region player for £17.50 not bad.

i got mine from tescos too, not the value one though although i was tempted. I think mine was only 25 notes and I did the same with the region unlocking thing. cant go wrong!
