Ok sorry for another thread on this..... but we're back on the netbook hunt for the living room.

Budget around 260-7, only requirements are windows7 some USB ports and wifi. Good battery life and something that doesn't heat my knees/arm chair up is very welcome (missus's HP lappy is a portable toaster).

Now to save me any hassle I was just going to pop into currys/pcworld (please don't punish me :( ) and pick up a Samsng N150 for £279. Is there any reason why this is a bad deal, are they a bad bit of kit or should I consider something else....

Any input appreciated.

I've just got me a Samsung N220, nice bit of kit but maybe a touch out of your price range..
The NB30 is pretty much the same unit and would of been my other choice.

Word on the ground is that Samsung have the Netbook scene in the bag... however, I'm waiting to check out the Slate, but that's another subject.

There is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_netbooks" target="_blank">this comparison chart</a> which was last updated 18/7/10

Thanks for the input guys, and thats a great link Claw ta.

While I was up newcastle today I popped into pcworld and the N150 does look ok, and didn't feel too hot underneath. Only downside was the price appeared to be 30 notes more, just checked online so i'm gonna reserve collect one from teesside and will collect when the weathers a bit better.

Will post back what I think as soon as.

Ok, seems a good little unit. The keyboard is taking a little time to get used to, but overall im very pleased with it. Its nice and quiet, cool after a hours setup and its not as slow as I thought it might be.

Only downside was the reserve in store did not work and the young lad had a right attitude but thats what you expect from pcw.
