OK, so ever since have built this PC up and started with the widescreen lcd I've had 2 niggly probs.

1 being that each time PC is switched on I have to unplug and then plug back in the mouse usb & KB usb (separate items.. mouse is wired & KB is wireless. Both Logitech)

2nd is that I'm still having probs with some items not being in view on screen. MSN has now decided that its going to sit out of view on the right hand side of the screen. There appears to be a prob (?) in that when moving the mouse across the 4 sides of the screen. The top & left side restrict the mouse to the edge, yet the bottom and right side of screen dont, so the mouse goes out of view. I've got latest drivers etc, but am wondering if this is a w/s issue ? It wont allow me to resize MSN screen to bring it into view.. so I end up 'fishing' with the cursor...hoping to hit the 'top bar' and drag it back...

Anyone have any answers please........ OGF1.. chucking pc out window isn't an option ! :) ........Y E T !!!!!

:) Res is fine Trig, even at 800x600 the mouse slithers out of view :(

Using 8800 gts and LG 19" flatron wide Didn't have any probs with the old iiyama big box ..

Surely 800* 600 is not a native widescreen res?

Which could be why youre losing it on the edges?

numpty,

right click on task bar of the app and select move, use keyboard cursor keeys to then move back into view. Told you this before in another thread :P

I've been using widescreen for ages and never had any problems with msn or anything tbh like you describe.

Thanks Thaney... I remember you telling me this but it wont work bud... I know what you're saying, but trust me.. it just wont have it...

What I have done is along the lines of Mavs response.. and changed the settings on monitor... It says Flatron Engine...
and there are 3 options... It was set to user, now its set to movie mode and the right hand side of the screen now inhibits the cursor from sliding off the screen.

probslems more likely to be with the builder than the quality of the parts :D
