Widescreen tft any use for a gamer?

Lo guys, I am thinking of getting a bigger monitor. up to 21" widescreen or 4x3.
Do any games actually support widescreen? I am thinking its a bit of a waste if not. I do watch loads of movies on me comp so wide would be better for that.

Dammit, looked here <a href="http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/fo ... m.php?f=32" target="_blank">wsgamerforum</a> for more info and it just cant be worth all the hassle. Going to look at 4x3 monitors only. Stoopid lack of support by the game developers imo.

Their quite new tbh nelly, in relative terms. But if your going to be watching lots of films then it'd be great. I'm saving up for a 20" WS TFT atm

I don't play alot of games but for mmo's and rpg's their sposed to be good which is what I mainly play atm
