In the interest of developing and advancing memory technologies IBM have created this movie to demonstrate their progress in the process of modifying the activity of Atoms using methods involving chemical attraction. Present memory technology uses 1,000,000 Atoms to store 1 bit of data. With this advancement from IBM 1 bit of data would only require 12 Atoms. Imagine the possibilities with this form of storage.
