I was asked to post this by a clan member.

Hwinfo grab it from <a href="http://www.hwinfo.com" target="_blank">http://www.hwinfo.com</a>

Sidebar and sideshow gadget for this is HWiNFOMonitor <a href="http://www.hwinfo.com/addons.html" target="_blank">http://www.hwinfo.com/addons.html</a>

If you want to use the sideshow part ie on a screen not attached to your pc say a pda or smart phone you need to installation files for the device witch you get from

<a href="http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download ... aspx?id=47" target="_blank">http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download ... x?id=47</a>

once you got what you want and need install hwinfo and configure that the way you want it, then install the hwinfogadget and configure that to look however you like it, tons and tons of display options to customise if you want it looking really sexy for your desktop.

when you have done that you can install the sideshow software on your pda/smart phone if you intend using an external device, pair your device and pc through the device or pcs bluetooth manager (sometimes pairing from the device works better than pairing from windows)

once you have done that, go to the pc's control panel and then to the sideshow and turn the gadget on for the device you want to use, then start the sideshow software on your device, make sure you check the options in hwinfo sidebar gadget to enable sideshow support.

Their are some detailed instructions available on the hwinfo webby and i think it is possible to run the gadget on an android device IF you can get the software for it, i have had a quick look but as i have nothing to test it on i didnt look that hard for it.

hwinfo is updated regularly and Martin is an approachable chap and will help you if you have a problem with his software.

I use this on my pc at all times and it has never bombed my machine out :2t:

forgot to mention a couple of things.

all the software is completely free, nothing to pay at all ever!

it records minimum and maximum temperatures, out of the box it resets these values
every time the software is started up, it can be altered so it will only reset these values manually, if anyone wants it that way then ask and i will post the mod for it.
