Well own up whos all about bashing their shell?
Ive started using Linux Mint on an old dell and cant get the graphics card to work as im a complete noob in linux.

I really want to have this old dell running it and running it well. I have taken the ATI 2400HD pci-e card out as I just cant get it to play ball for the time being and running on onboard graphics but cant get any res higher than 1024-768 grrr.

Last night I was quite happpy I finally got to understand some of my xorg.conf and hacked it so I now have a lovely 1280x960 on this 4:3 screen will maybe try and play with the ati card again now that I understand a few things
Hopefully I will get this running sweet as a nut.
