Yeah IANA ran out of IPv4 on Thursday at 2:30pm. I attended a very interesting lecture from Fred baker about the deployment of IPv6 and issues this causes.

It appears we are so obsessed with backwards compatability these days that deploying new addresses/protocols/software acrhitechture is so tortuous. Also the blatant waste of IP4 addresses hasn't helped.

Well said Clingy. The effect it will have on bandwidth will be something to keep an eye on, but these days, I really can't be bothered.

Just recently downloaded some interesting little programs from Aviasoft and will be going for a walk in the park tomorrow to try them out. :)
Just be a nutter... life becomes much more exciting, and people won't expect anything more of you...

Reckon all IP4 addresses should be designated for Pr0n (90% is anyway I reckon....) and then we stick to serious stuff such as the Chickenman site for IP6...
