They given the whole world a bit of a makeover.
Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor have been ripped apart and are almost unrecognisable.
With the new changes etc. it's almost like learning the game anew.
Not necessarily a bad thing.
Of course the new expansion pack brings new quests , lands, races etc. It's a bit pricey at £22, but it does mean that you should be able to pick up the previous expansion packs at a bargain price now.
Having said that, just checked at Play, they're still listing WOTLK at £18, which means that to start the game from scratch and patch up fully is still the better part of £50.

...add to that the monthly fee... it's cheaper to go to the local pub for a brawl with some spotty students...
Just be a nutter... life becomes much more exciting, and people won't expect anything more of you...

Played WoW for some time, was quite 'hardcore' at one point in the old Arenas
Won't be playing again though, much too time consuming for me, though no doubt it's a great game.

Y'know, that's exactly what I've heard about WoW players... but to their credit they've achieved the perfect diet... not eating...

Haven't been able to get into cata which I'm surprised with as I found WOTLK too easy. I think going back to the grind doesn't really appeal anymore.

surprised, I found Cataclysm way more enjoyable than WOTLK.
I thought they put more thought into varying the quest types and storyline.
The Indiana Jones stuff had me giggling as much as my daughter..
