I'm using PS3 Media Server to stream .mkv files to my PS3. Since update 3.50 I can't skip to a specific time in my film, annoying.

Something Sony has done has borked this. However there is a beta version of PS3 Media Server which fixes this issue. You can download the windows version <a href="http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver ... e&can=2&q=" target="_blank">here</a>

Problem 2 is that the PS3 no longer will read any discs, games or films. Had to buy 2 PS2 units because of this fault. I don't want to buy another PS3 as they aren't cheap.

My films still work via network but my daughter can't play any games :(

Can't you get Sony to do something about this? If one of their updates has taken down your PS3, surely you can't be the only one, can you? :mellow:
Just be a nutter... life becomes much more exciting, and people won't expect anything more of you...
