Patch mucked up me spawning times now I sit and wait for up to a minute before I can re-spawn Common problem according to EA's Forums ( oh well )

Sort of fixed.
Now any server I join kicks me. Says my heartbeat has stopped. Must be the boredom waiting for the map to load.

You need to manually update your punkbuster and then make sure it has the relevant permissions through your firewall

Yep, just as the wise feathered one says...

Find the Punkbuster program (pbsetup.exe) if you know where it's installed, or search your drive for it.

When you have found it, right click and choose Properties > Compatibility (the tab) > then at the bottom you will see a tick box saying "Run as Administrator". Click okay.

Next you just run the pbsetup.exe program, choose BFBC2 and it will update Punkbuster.

I'm having the same problem. The GSV server is grayed out in my fav's. I've ran the PB update but it says it's already up to date.

I've removed from my Fav's but cant find it when I do a full server refresh

Hi Hammer, did you update via the update program in the game directory? I had to and all is good. I left all the boxes blank and found gsv that way i think.

Delete your favourites and search the main browser again.

I tick for ranked (which also ticks pb and no password) change the region to europe and search.

Mine works fine and I've not had to make any changes.

Have you ticked the appropriate boxes for Ranked, Punkbuster, etc before going into favourites?

If you are having problems download this file and run it

It will test all your services and hopefully set up the relevant permissions

Then run pb setup and point it at your BC2 install directory and update

Complete re-install. Worked great for nearly 20 mins, then kicked me back to desktop.

Yeah I can see from the log that it was Punkbuster B.exe heartbeat stopped
