When you say bargain, how much are they? :unsure:

A lot more than £200 presumably, however seeing as the guy is upgrading to 2x 5870's performance might be missing something..
I'm tempted by the 5850 tbh, but the 4870 is still just about holding in there, I suppose I could clock it back to standard instead of underclocking it and knocking the fan down to 20% to keep it quite though...

Depends on what he wants 2x5870 for. Is he going to be using Eyefinity? (multiple display setup), is he wanting to run DX11? The 295 is still a serious fast card and would probably do for most people. I haven't an account so can't see the link.
My 4890 plays BFBC2 very well. It's the only game I'm playing at the moment so I'm happy.
