Still can't play online. I've tried knocking my firewall off and no joy.
I can sometimes get on a server then get kicked probably punkbuster. I'm off to work soon so will try again tomorrow.

My copy arrived yesterday, it's installed but that's as far as I got, hopefully get to looking at it later.

Managed to get online this morning for a quick game. The server wasn't punkbuster enabled. Thought I'd try another server. The game crashed causing BSOD taking my C drive with it. I'm glad I only made a backup with Acronis Trueimage the day before

Reinstalled and updated BC2 & Punkbuster. Still can't get online. I'm not the only one on the EA forums though.

Will have to wait for EA/DICE to fix this fault.

EDIT:
After Installing the game I don't get any desktop shortcuts, trying to create one from the installed directory doesn't work. Need to start the game from the DVD anyone else get this?

I've received my game today, didnt get home until 6.30pm though so only just installed it.

Got the updates and updated punkbuster.

looked in the server browser but didnt try to join anything.

Just had a quick run around on the single player with no problems.

Will try online later.

Running Win7 64, only jumped on a couple of servers, no issues so far with the game or PB.

I lost my shortcut to the Games directory but managed to pin it to the taskbar from the program directory. I have gone with the auth' that allows you to play without the DVD.

Just had a quick run around on a server with no problems (apart from me being crap)

I also chose to auth online so as not to need the disc in the drive.

We need to add each other to friends list.

My ingame name is "[Eagle]", without the ""

Installed but cant get on line. Didnt see any servers when tried to get online.
Is this going the same way as BF2 already riddled with server issues?

Tried searching for Eagle but couldn't find a plain old Eagle.
I've 2 players set up
Hammer UK
&
GSV Hammer

try the first one as I forgot about the clan tag option so the second one shows up as GSV GSV Hammer.

we have the "gsv" chatroom in xfire which can be used for voice chat

i dont think the quality is brilliant but its free

The EA servers have been having major problems but it's a new game, what can you expect.

They took down all public servers and stopped any new clan ones going up. Think I heard that another patch is about to come out to fix some of the issues as well.

If I load any of the menu's in MP, 'enter' or tab etc. then the game stutters to a halt, although it seems to just be my machine.

I'm in as "AP Geist" and I'll be found on the iGi server most of the time I'm ingame.
