Nelly, apparently this is like when Crysis first came out, the engine is hard on any system, will see what the demo runs like on my rig later today

Been playing with the settings to get a good compromise but it just aint workin here. Looks great on very high but i am getting 8fps.
c2de6600 2.4ghz
vista64
8gb ram
8800gts512mb gpu
I cannot afford to get a new rig for just this game when cod4, bf2, aa3 look fine.

A64x2 @2.4ghz
Vista 64
2g ram
ATI 1950XT

Had to drop the resolution down to 1124 (my default is 1680x1050) to get 22 fps. Only problem is the game looks crap at the resolution. Changing my settings away from the default screen resolution makes any game look poor. From what I've been reading the game is a real CPU hog.
I've just started the basic training. When I get to the MOUNT range my FPS drop to 11 and make the game unplayable.

New PC parts on order so will have to see what it runs like then. Can't wait to get back to some gaming, just my rig is slow with anything apart from COD4.

blimey, this game looks awful, everything is blocky, not rendering stuff correctly

With it set to 1680x1050 and graphics set to high, just in the 1st training bit I get 25FPS

How the hell do people get all these quality vids of the game then?? With your specs Madman it should fly.

I feel a sale coming on.

Well I threw in an old hdd with xp and what a difference. Looks so much better than vista64. Will have a play and see how it goes. Miles beter than vista64.

I think that it looks fine, not running it at 1650x1050 as I am on my Dads monitor.

As Eagle said you could see **** all in the little picture. It's a big picture.

A new ARMA II Developer's Diary Movie on the ARMA II website features an introduction to basic game controls and principles in Bohemia Interactive's military shooter sequel. The clip is narrated by Bohemia PR manager Jan Prazak, whose English is impressive while his Czech accent is not too hard to understand. The clip shows the player's physical presence in the game world, and various elements intended on giving this a greater sense of realism.
