For those who have Steam you can get S.T.A.L.K.E.R for Â£3.49 this weekend. I've never played it so I'm not sure what the game is like. I think Nelly gave it a go. I think it's multiplayer as well so Â£3.49 might not be a bad price if anyone fancy's it.

Looks like the 1.0006 patch is only unofficial and that looks like the mp servers are running. Now how can I get the patch to work with my 1.0005 game? Atm it says cannot update when I run the patch.
