Here you go, a link to <a href="http://imk.cx/pc/widescreenfixer/" target="_blank">Widescreen Fixer</a> a little utility to enable the correct aspect ration on your wide screen monitor while using BF2 among other games.

I'm using the latest version 1.46.0
