Basic Pistol

Chuffed ter bits I am... got my Basic Pistol award last night - been trying for this for months.

Now all I need is my basic knife and I may move up a rank - I think.

Getting my pistol was really hard as it is so tempting to change to your primary weapon in a firefight... it's like trying to avoid chewing on a sweet... you just find yourself doing it and missing a good opportunity.

I feel good...

I need Basic knife as well, but really struggling....

Like why use the knife when you've got a perfectly good weapon?
Seems daft to me..

In my short spells on this game I find the knife very useful especially if you are a Sniper, Anti-Tank boy or similar. I'm sure with a bit more practice I could pick up a lot more knife kills.

Not forgetting our 'Fun not Frags' policy... but you can check your stats out at sites like this - but you probably already knew this...

Get 7 knife kills in one round and you'll earn your basic knife badge... if you accumulate 50 knife kills along with your basic badge you will then earn the Veteran.

I'm not in the slightest obsessed with these targets... but accomplishing a little side objective is a nice surprise as it pops up on your screen.

I have to say that I've not looked at my stats for ages, not that I really care I have to say! I'm never that good at a game to get good stats so I rarely look!!!

Occasionally I lok to see how far away the nexxt rank/weapon unlock is....

seems to get further away though...

I have to say that since I stopped worrying about how bad I was as a game, I start to enjoy it a lot more. ATM it's happening with IL2FB.

I must have been close as I've got my Pistol and also Engineer badge!

OOo just got support as well! 5 mins from the end of the round and I'd only got 5 kills of the 10 needed within the round when I stumbled across a mothers meeting at a flag capture attempt, 3 nades and 10 seconds later and I'd got my suport badge

I've never been any good with a sniper rifle, I think I'll have to go pistol whilst sniper to get this one!

Well sniper was easy once I'd decided to try the basic rifle!

Just 7 troutings in one round and I'll be a First Sergeant
