noticed the other day that the BT Home hub phone light wasn't lit.

Phone works OK across the landline.
telephony is enabled in the hub manager, but the registered number says it's "disabled/Not ok".
on the 'helpdesk settings" it lists the phone number as not being registered.

Have been onto the BT BB phone activation page, configured it, and it says it's configured successfully.

Anyone any ideas, or have I got to ring India?

Well mine is working fine and I am very happy with it. have you called BT about it yet. they were very helpful with all the small issues I had.

Free Phone 08003281605 and option 1. is the number I phone. They do give you a 0845 number but that will cost you.

Have you tried a restart :D

Cheers Ras,

Used that number, sat on hold for 30mins the first time round, then call dropped out.
Sat on hold for another 15 mins, then spoke to India. 10 min with him just going through everything I had already done, though I suppose he has to do it just to say it's officially been tried, then he passed me onto BT BBT dept.
Another 10 mins with them and they say there's definitely a fault, been passed to their fault dept and someone will call me back soon, though I guess that'll be next week.

Not bad for an evenings work.
At least I know for definite that it's not a setup prob.
Guess they'll be sending me a new hub and/or phone.

Still not heard anything about it, do I call them back again?

On the phone back to India again.
At least they didn't put me through all the basic checks again, and have assured me that the problems being worked on.

I feel a little boffing going on here :boff:

I would give it a few days then demand a new hub and a month free or something like that, as they have not provided the service that they offered I think that you should get something.
