The only thing more expensive helmets have is better flow modelling, air vent systems etc.

I've just bought a Caberg with integral sun visor for £100. Best of all, it fits perfectly.

You can easily make a saving on an internet buy, buy popping down your local bike shop or a big show, trying a few on then ordering back at home.
Always check you can send it back though, just in case.

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=016" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... &ih=016</a>

Buy it now price is £650, how easy is it to get parts for these obscure chinese/jap bikes?

I learned on a Yamaha DT125 trailie. Great fun on and off the road. Nobbly tyres + tarmac + damp morning = trip to the doctors.

Correct tyres make so much difference.

They are getting much easier now to get parts and a lot of the smaller mechanics places can get them. Best bet if your not too sure is phone a few local mechanis and see what they say when you mention the name!

Basically a Korean version of Suzuki GS125. So bullet proof and learner legal, you wont go far wrong with it!

Yeah, i can see what the bike is, but i'm more interested in why he only want's £250 for it.

Wouldn't mind seeing what style it is, it seems they changed quite a lot through the years it was made.
He say's it's an 02 plate, but they didn't make them in 02.

Had a quote for £251.03 for Third party only on the Hyosung 125.
TPF&T was £420 and fully comp was £760

All those include breakdown cover

That sounds a bit steep to me. When Jo passed her test and got a crb125 it was about £350 fully comp!

Have you tried Bennetts and Carole Nash?

Meh!
Had a license for 10 years, but the trouble with having classic policies is that you can't build up any no claims, so although i've never made a claim, i've also never built up any no claims bonus.

That quote was from Peter Best who do my car insurance, but that doesn't do me any favours at all.
I need to phone around.

Also found it a bit annoying is that you cant' have a classic bike policy when you're a learner :(

Anyway, just got myself a helmet, It's a Caberg Raptor in black, £100. . . . there was a takachi one for £65 which seemed to fit better, but i prefered the style of this one, this one is a bit too tight, so i'm going to have to wait and see how much it gives, i think after a few weeks it should be perfect.
Also has a flip down smoke visor which looks the nuts!

I'm itching to get out on a bike!

Not really sure m8. Have been asking the same question myself, or "where can I get them serviced" They look tempting. Think there is a forum somewhere for Chinese Bike Owners.
