Oh dear, that kinda person shouldn't really have a turbo RWD car.

Same as someone with no technical knowhow of mechanics shouldn't have an MG.

****** I shouldn't have read this thread the other day, checked my girls car today and the HG has deffo gone, as well as rear bearings and a few other jobs like no pads and the usual "oh its been making a whining noise" tasks.

oh well next weekend i'll probably be very dirty and learning fast as usual :/

What car is it andrew?

I'm never attempting to fix anything on this car again, it's terrible british engineering.

A light bulb has gone behind the oil temp guage, to change it the entire dash needs to come out, to take the dash out, you need to take the center console, handbrake and T-bar behind the seat out :(

Pez, you want to come do this HG when it eventually goes? :)

What mods you doing to the engine while it's out? wants new dowels, piston liners possibly? might aswell change the HG while it's out of the car.

Just putting a running lump in to make some profit on the thing.
Cost me 200 for the car and 46 for the engine, just needs a new rad and some gaskets and should sell for at least a grand round here :D

Shouldn't you be finishing your westy instead of messing around with a rover? :P
