I've just tried the driver removal tool on Windows 7 x64. Just run it and it removes all the drivers and asks for a reboot so you can install the new drivers. Works ok.
Some guy is reporting that it knackered his Windows 8 system so be careful.

Yes be careful, i have had a similar problem in the past with an ati removal tool.

It did a bit of thorough job, it even deleted the generic windows drivers so on reboot no
display after the bios post. Easily fixed though with a windows dvd boot up.
