I was gutted when I learned that Apple had moved away from RISC processing, and that RISC processing appeared to be going through the throes of being shelved. A bit like we felt when Concorde was being shelved - a real step backwards.
However, RISC is not dead, developments are out there and there is still hope for it... as small and as that hope is, there are still projects showing off what a great development in computing RISC was and is.
