Only know a few peeps who use these Clingy... (pretty much because of the reason Mavs mentioned ! ) But when I see them next I'll ask what make and their views..

Best bet is get the intercom set and at the same time buy new ear plugs for yourself

Did you ever make a decision on this clingon?

I'd like a bluetooth one to connect to my phone but would also like the opportunity to connect to another headset at a later date.

Cardo Scala looks to be the best but the only way i can see of doing both seems to be with a wired headset.
I can connect it normally to my phone (which is also my gps and mp3 player) but then to connect to another headset, i'd need to swap the cable into a walkie talkie.

Cardo scala sets are around the Â£200 mark, a little too much for me

You can get the older Scala for as little as Â£80 but I have heard varying reports about it. Not seen many user reports about the new ones. Bluetooth is useless for music but OK for speech.

I never got an Intercom in the end as funds ran out

. I would have gone for a hardwired Autocom or Starcom unit. Currently my sat nav links by blutooth to my phone and my headphones link into the sat nav. I can hear sat nav instructions and hear phone calls, but not respond as I cant get a normal microphone to work OK. You need specialist noise cancelling units.

However now debating whether to go Bluetooth for just phone calls and then forget about music (my sat nav is also an MP3 player).

I wear ear plugs so have been trying out in-ear phones....not too bad, but not that comfortable and they dont stop enough outside noise. My helmet is noisy.

My helmet is noisy too (caberg V2), i find the in ear ones painfull on the bike, especially when you take your helmet off and they slip up the side of your head and get wedged against your temple!

I ended up with Sennheiser CX400, which appeared to be the least uncomfortable. My brother is getting an Autocom so I'll see what that is like and probably wait intil they are half price at the Bike Show in November.

Well i've been doing my DAS training all weekend, we were using an autocom system.

I have a groove in my head where the ear piece has been sat, i couldn't hear the instructor at anything over 60 and i had to wear a crappy pouch.
Ok so the ear piece would probably be replaced with a pad inside the helmet and you could put the radio in a pocket or bag instead.

The instructor was having loads of problems with his ear pad speaker too, not that he needed it as we didn't have mics but he said it kept falling out and bugging him.

Can't really fault his microphone though, he was crystal clear even on his lairy 900 honet which he insisted on revving the nuts off.

I think i'm just going to get a Â£10 headset off ebay that connects to my phone until i find the need for something more expensive.
