Ubisoft has released three of their older games as free advertising supported releases, offering Far Cry, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and Rayman Raving Rabbids to those with free Ubi.com accounts who are willing to endure some ads in exchange for their free games. The downloads showed up on FilePlanet, where it seems that a paid subscription is required for the download. The games are also available on 3D Downloads (Far Cry, Raving Rabbids, and Sands of Time) and Gamer's Hell (Far Cry, Raving Rabbids, and Sands of Time), and downloading and installing the games works fine. Again, the games do require a Ubicom account, and while the free play is ad supported., I didn't not encounter any ads during a brief test run to see how they are presented.

In mentioning the advertising-supported games released for free by Ubisoft one of the titles was overlooked, as Ghost Recon is also now available for free. As with the other titles (Far Cry, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and Rayman Raving Rabbits), a Ubi.com account is required, which, it should be noted, but be registered in the US (though there does not seem to be any mechanism in place to prevent creating a US account from a different country). The Ghost Recon download is available on 3D Downloads and Gamer's Hell.
