Cs Source Or 1.6?

Guys what are we running on the GSV Server?

When I can get the mrs off WoW for half an hour I will pop on.

Just wondered what to install.

Source atm altho we can run both apparently
get xfire n teamspeak

The server is currently running Source as that seems to be the favoured one at the moment.

I can swap the server to 1.6 quite easily if it was decided that we wanted an evening of 1.6.

Last night I swapped the server to run Gungame which is a mod for source, and that was a laugh but in small doses i think.

Also looking through the available content I think I can swap it to an Insurgency server as well.

Insurgency? Very cool. I would love to put this on. Its nothing like cs source though. You have to look through the gun sights to aim. Its meant to be a reality sim of modern combat.

not too keen on mods tbh. One of the reasons I started drifting away was having to download and install mods and maps and stuff like that for not a lot of net gain (i.e. a lot of the time they were carp).

I looked at the server the other night and it was playing some map I'd never heard of (gg<something>) so I just went off and did something else as fiddling about with all that stuff is a major PITA.

Stick to CS I say.

You join the server and the map automatically downloads for you , A major PITA

Methinks someones been messing with Linux for to long tbh
