Windows 10

Post by Claw »

Windows 10 takes a step back, depending on your device, or its status that is. An intriguing notion, I wonder why they need to bring out a completely new operating system, or should I say a new number for their operating system. On the point of them still using numbers, I think I'd like to see companies move on from such titles. A new name, you would hope, would mean a new product and advancement.

Running it as a VM currently, so far so good

Got to migrate from 7 to 8.1 first though

Windows 10 is gonna be free for Windows 7 & 8.

However, it's possible there will be some kind of Hardware check to confirm compatibility. This makes sense, but could rule out any attempt install and them look for backward compatible drivers, or rather, forward compatible drivers. Whatever the case, it's going to be a freebie for a year.

But not for Enterprise users so people that are running the "GSV" edition wont be eligable...
