That is hilarious!! I had 2 HD6970s in crossfire a couple of years ago and they would often hit 90 degs in a well ventilated case (corsair 600T). That heat, coupled with the excessive noise made me move back to Nvidia (GTX 680, now Titan). Pity really as the compute performance is pretty tasty on the AMD cards!!

We will have to wait until the NDA of the 290/x lifts before we get full results. Nvidia countered today with the 780ti GFX card.
I could be in the market to replace my 6870 CF setup for BF4 but it all depends on price of the new cards. Overclockers had a bargain yesterday with a 7990 for £440 but they are now back to £525 today.

I'll wait until the full release of BF4 and pricing of new cards but the BF4 Beta seriously hit my fps.

Nvidia are sure to counter, they especially didn't like the way the amd card was unveiled, benchmarking alongside the gtx 780 (and beating it consistently).

I shouldn't worry about upgrading for BF4 as it punished my system as well. The code is clearly horribly optimised in the Beta!! I look forward to its final release though :)
