They do seem pretty popular, as I say the kids love them, I can't stand them and I don't know why as usually that's my cup of tea.

I don't like their first two albums, but their last three rock.

Stone sour rule

and i think avenged sevenfolds latest album rocks

as for scales u cant beat learning E scale first its the basis of all solos

that schecter you are looking at is one hell of a cool looking geetar my own opinion tho is that with it having a floating trem is quite tricky to keep maintained(its a real pain changing strings and sometimes you can end up with it having to go and be professionaly done)
i made that mistake with my dean its great for divebombing ect but it can be hungry on strings
but as i say thats my opinion i think that if you can get one like that but with a fixed bridge then you will have less stress
cubes are cool to m8 but i went for the line6 due to the vast tones i could get and also the extra effects built in (the noise gate is invaluable)

also look up at playing in drop D it means that you can power chord with one finger on the neck and also play everlong by the foo fighters :)

keep on rockin

oh yeah and ive just heard my geetars are being delivered on the 21st
lets hope 8 weeks on the sea have not taken there toll on them hehe( i had visions of the ship being taken over by somalie pirates and seeing them on tv waving guns and guitars :))

catch ya l8ohs

Right mate that's made me think. I can get that Schecter with a hard tail. I thought the Floyd Rose Vibrato was the best and at that price for the guitar it should be able to stay in tune.

I can get the Solo 6 with EMG's as well, but now fancy a guitar with vibrato. I'm only wanting to buy 1 guitar so want a good one. I'm not planing to get it until next year so I have plenty of time to see choose 1 and an amp.
