Yep... it was empty for me too... and even though it was empty it was still kicking me off because some Authentication thingy was invalid... so I finally got around to playing Lost Coast... which has inspired me to play HL2 again.

Hmm... can't get on GFFM server... and its empty...

While you're checking the model have you tried right clicking the DVD/CD Drive icon in My Computer and choosing eject? Could just be a problem with the button on the drive.
