I have used it in the past and it works well, I haven't used it for hidden networks but it does say that it can find them in the features.

Yer but hdd is 500Gb and ssd is only 64Gb. If I separate them from the cache raid then I need all the room for games etc for windows and not much room for linux and its apps. I ran 1 W7 pro Desktop, a W7 Ent Laptop and a Sabayon (Linux) file server/media center all running through the Virgin Media SuperCrapHub 100Mb Lan and 300Mb Wifi(Not that I get that).

Are you running any 3rd party AV/Firewalls. Turn these off and check that Windows Firewall is off on both machines. There is a reg hack that I can't rememeber just now but the final switch is "terminal server deny 0" a bit of googling will help you out. Did you check the less secure box as XP can't ...
