Well things moved rather quickly lol.

Wasn't happy with performance so upgrading already.

I have changed the CPU to i7 4790 £25 second hand.
4 x 8gb of ddr 3 ram
250gb ssd OS
2.5tb WD spinner hdd
2tb Seagate Spinner hdd
4tb Seagate spinner hdd

All seems to work quite nicely now. Next task is to ...

10tb if I remember correctly. I think i have a new plan, once back of my holiday going to rebuild using spinners. Buy a respectable make.

Samsung have been mentioned i looked at Seagate any other drive makes to look at or to avoid?

Disks with stuff. I'm not clever enough to do stuff like that. I got out of this 10-15 years ago and getting back in making things like this again.

I have a vpn and thought I had opened everything maybe was Windows firewall or even my router stopping. Will try again when I get setup.

I started ripping physical media but I borrowed some stuff from online as well. I did try your DC++ but couldn't get it to work.

I did have 3 1/2 TB of datd until one of them failed.

Hey,

I have recently built a jellyfin server with 2 2tb HDDs sadly the first 2tb 4 weeks old has failed l. It was a KingSpec which reviews are mixed.

I am now looking to rebuild and thinking of buying something more trustworthy. Crucial seems to be the way I am thinking.

Should I go 2tb or 4tb or ...

Yea I am looking at fitting a solar panel with a dual controller one to charge leisure battery and other to trickle charge the van battery but it's a bit of work to do it.

I have bought a tacklite booster just incase I need it for now.
