not plugging a 20 pin ATX connector into a 24 pin are you? check memory SPD incase its trying for tighter timings reset BIOS via jumper check volts to CPU... current BIOS revision support the cpu? check that theres no discolouration on power connectors... never know you might be arking somewere... h...

A number of things, but it basically boiled down to poor connections. I did a fair bit of putting new spades on, soldering eyes and what have you.
